We cut the hood on the 97? Delorean Time Machine and added the gas flap door. A good sheet metal person should be able to easilty do this. In order to prevent any initial stretching of the metal we used a die grinder to make the initial cuts. bob Scott Cagle wrote: > This idea has come up numerous times before, and I think I'm going to be brave enough to try it. I have an 83, no flap. But we all know that the fiberglass underside of the hoods has the marking for the flap. The car has to go into the shop for some reconstructive surgery, so while it's there, I'm going to see about doing the fuel flap. This guy is good with stainless steel, he's proved that already. So we'll see what happens.
