Hi Nate- Where in PA are you starting out from? You could probably link up with a D owner or two to give it a quick once over Watch your temp and oil pressure carefully. Driving it around the block is different from going 70 mph on the Penna Turnpike for hours on end. Actually, I think I wouldn't go above 50, especially if the tires are the original NCT's. I'd stay off the Turnpike altogether, in case of problems. DeLoreans aren't any worse than any other 18 year old car, but you'll be pushing it to the limits for probably the first time in years. Your coolant hoses probably have some minor leaking. Check clutch and brake fluids levels before you blast off. If you detect any problems on the road, park it! My Neon's temp gauge redlined on I-95 in Philadelphia, and I didn't expect it... or notice it until a buzzer went off. Who expects that in a 5 year old car? (I told my wife we should've been driving my dependable DeLorean!) I had to have the head replaced on the Neon. OWWW! $$$$ Just be careful until you've checked it out personally, and replaced the old rubber and header bottle, if it's still the plastic one. The adventure begins! -Wayne 11174 (runs great at 70 mph on new Yokos!)
