Unfortunately there is no simple explanation for this behavior which is normal to the Bosch K-Jetronic C.I.S. fuel injection system and Lambda emissions system. If you would like to know the details of what causes this behavior go to the DeLorean workshop manual and read D:04:08 through D:04:10. Note the "action circle" chart at D:04:10, the idle speed circuit interacts with this cycling action which causes the idle regulator to vary or cycle during warm-up. Keep in mind that this fuel injection system which was originally designed in the mid 70's and was one of the first fuel systems to use electronics for engine control. In later versions (KE, L, and LH) of the Bosch fuel systems more sophisticated electronics help to maintain a more constant idle during warm-up.
