The weep hole of the water pump is on the bottom of the shaft, directly behind the pulley. I needed a small mirror to locate mine. AFAIK, there should only be fluid seeping from the weep hole if the water pump shaft seal has failed, as was the case with mine. My coolant was leaking down low to where the timing marks are, not anywhere up top. You might just have a badly-clamped hose, although getting to it to fix it could be quite a bit of effort.
