Re: [DML] MSD pros and cons

Andrew,

I had done a tune up on my car over month ago.
I had the original Bosch ignition coil which is around 16 months old,
replaced by a MSD Ignition coil Blaster 2, model #8200.
It was an experiment to see if there is a difference between the two.

The MSD coil made a major difference.
The acceleration was better from stand still, and more power from the engine
with additional 3 to 5 HP?
It was smoother in the lower RPM right up to the higher RPM -- at speeds over
120 mph with power -- pedal to the metal.

The MSD is cheaper in price then the Bosch coil are $55 to $60.
The MSD Blaster coils are $45. for the red painted (#8203) and $50. for the
chrome (#8200).
They are both the same in performance, the difference is the cosmetics.
Go to: www.msdignition.com

I got over a 1,000 miles on the MSD coil and the "difference and the thrill"
is still there and enjoying every mile with it.
The two Bosch coil never produce that kind of "feel" since my ownership over
the last 4 years of daily driving.

I was hoping to attend the Cincinnati Show, but I could not rearrange my
agenda.
So, I missed the show and I missed enjoying the long drive in "the new
difference."
