Hello List, well, The exterior of my car is almost finished. After a few thousand dollars and a lot of hard work I have it pretty much done. It is a mercedes mirror black right now but is oxidized and very scratched. I plan to repaint it the same color but leave the rear fascia silver. The passenger side door is stainless steel but the rest of the car is already painted. A guy is coming up next week that paints collectible cars to take a look at it. He said he would like to know a few things about painting stainless before he took on the job. Can anyone reccomend how we should prepare the unpainted door? any info would be greatly appreciated. I stripped a part of the old dented door and it looks like it was sanded at an angle to the SS grain. what is the best method? The door is perfect and will require no bondo:) Thanks Dave- #2496-interior next!
