DMC Ltd. was placed in receivership in February of 1982. The factory was shut down by the British government in May of 1982. DMC filed for bankruptcy on October 25, 1982. Cars continued to be assembled from June of 1982 until the last one was assembled on December 24, 1982 (Chassis #DD002014). Presumably all of the 1982's that were assembled after May 31, 1982 were designated "1983" and none of those was assembled by by the factory assembly workers. So it is very likely that many cars assembled after May 31, 1982 could have had "two tone" interiors for the very reason Mark has pointed out. Ed Thompson #6419 since 1982 (still for sale) Tag: WIDGET
