The easiest way to align the latch is by adjusting the engine cover striker bar (parts manual 8/4/4 #16). If you are unable to achieve latching with this adjustment you will have to adjust the plate & stud (8/4/3 #16) at the sunshade. Be aware that this adjustment will effect the entire alignment of the sunshade. Writes note: Except for concourse judging the latching mechanism has no practical use.
