If you previously had you factory door lock powered up you may have a partially burnt out lock solenoid that is preventing the lock from releasing. You will have to remove both door panels to access the lock module. Remove the solenoid and the door should unlock. This is the reason that we routinely disconnect power to the lock module whenever we prep a car for service.
