Hello list, Today with the help of my father we tried to put the torsion bars back in my car. First we tried a 1/2 pull bar with an adapter to 3/8 and the adapter broke off at 135 lbs of torque. We decided not to ruin the door and went to Sears and TRIED to get a NICE 3/8 allen with a 1/2 inch drive. The guy says Sears doesnt make one w/ a half inch drive so we will have to go from 1/2 to 3/8 with an adapter(again). He said it wont break "It's Craftsman". has anyone else done this? using an adapter? I am leaving for spring break later this week and wont be able to enjoy it knowing my doors wont open.(u know what I mean, don't you?) I have brand new PJ Grady struts and have never opened a DeLorean door that actually worked how it was supposed to. how fast should the doors come up? If anyone can help me with these two questions please email me. And if you are wondering why the torsion bars are out. My car was hit on the passenger side LONG AGO and got a brand new door and the drivers side bar wasnt tight enough so it had to come out also. Thank you David #2496
