Ok, I'm really curious. Maybe someone can answer this one for me. I have an 81 with light grey interior and 5 speed transmission. The car has 9,300 miles on it and that has been verified by several methods to be correct. It also apears to be accurate based on tire wear etc. The car only had one owner. Anyway, enough background here is the question. The car has the grey interior, but yet the seats are a darker gray. They are definately not black but yet they are not light grey. There is a distinct difference between them and the carpet / dash / consol. The seats appear to be original and have not been redone! How is this possible? I have seen pictures of interiors of other "D"s and they appear to be the same color grey as the carpeting and dash. Mine are slightly darker. Why? Thanks, Scot 6452
