I was in phoenix the weekend of the Barnett Jackson auction.
My flight out on the following Tuesday was very early and I was a standby
passenger for that flight. They called me to board the plane and as I was
walking to the gate I spotted David Davis sitting in the adjacent section
awaiting the Detroit flight. The thought crossed my mind to try for another
flight and spend a few minutes pointing out the DeLorean's good points but I'd
guess he wouldn't have much appreaciated that and I really wanted to get home
early. I'll just have to settle having to chaulk it up as a "brush with
fame".
