<snip> what tires do you guys have on YOUR DeLoreans?? </snip> Here is a long answer to a short question. Yokohama AVS tires Carrerra front shocks PJ Grady Front springs Marty-supplied rear shocks with Stock Rear springs - but lowered 1" using Marty's adjustable rear shock collars (see http://www.midstatedmc.com/parts/shocks.html) When I first bought my car (in 1993), I drove it primarily on "social occasions" and for PNDC events (see http://PNDC.org). I really enjoyed the "unique" driving experience. (81 Grey 5-spd - stock configuration except for Goodyear tires). <DREAM> However, when I decided to make it my "daily driver", I started wishing it was a little quieter, a little smoother, a little more responsive, and a little less susceptible to "road wander" in studded snow-tire ruts. </DREAM> Well, with each of the above improvements, (implemented incrementally) my wishes came closer to reality. Each change resulted in a very noticeable improvement. Now it doesn't wander in road ruts, emergency maneuvers are totally controllable, door and other minor rattles are virtually gone, road and wind noise are greatly reduced, I can go over speed bumps at the speed limit, and driving over "baby turtles" is no longer a traumatic tooth-rattling experience. OBTW "baby turtles" are the white bumps they glue on white lines so that drunk drivers can tell if they wander out of their lane. Try it - you'll like it. R.
