Alex, A few years ago there was theory circulating that it took on around $20k to get an great/excellent/near-perfect DeLorean. This theory also included the notion that you could pay for any reasonable car and get it up to excellent condition with the difference between $20k and what you dumped into the initial purchase. As with anything else, I'm sure there are many exceptions. We'll also have to be a bit flexible regarding certain criteria which could drastically affect results (such as the balance of do-it-yourself vs. repair shop). >From my personal experience, I think that this theory is right on target! Though I seem to have required a little more than the average :( and I'm not quite done! Does anyone want to modify the original theory? I was wondering what would be involved and how expensive it would be to buy a D if far from excellent running condition and restoring it to showroom. Thanks for your help, Alex. ______________________________________________________ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before posting messages or replies, see the posting policy rules at: www.dmcnews.com/Admin/rules.html To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderator@xxxx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: http://www.egroups.com/group/dmcnews http://www.egroups.com - Simplifying group communications
