Wayne, Your inside rearview mirror may have a broken internal spring. Your parking brake problem may be related to the rubber handle cover or the carpet cover. Pull the rubber cover off the handle and see if the light stays off, if that doesn't correct the problem you will need to adjust the parking brake micro switch.Illumination of the warning light does not necessarily indicate the parking brake pads are in contact with the brake rotor.
