When I first got my car in June, it had one large crack in the dash--pass. side from the windshield to the top of the glove box. I just started driving my car again after it sat in the garage for three weeks during the bitter cold weather. When I pulled it out I noticed I had another crack--driver's side from the windshield to the binnicle. These look terrible!! A new dash pad will cost $400 going by eBay prices right now. Has anyone had any luck using an interior shop to fill the cracks with some sort of putty then spraying over them to match? What's the best way to perserve the dash? I thought the cracks came after it sat out in the sun, but now I know they come in the cold weather too. I've had bad luck with any thing I'ver ever put on to perserve my dash (get that gunk on the inside of the windshield) I really sidlike the looks of dash mats too. Am I SOL when it comes to saving this thing then? Thanks, --Jonathan #000697 (black interior/auto)
