While I respect Shannon's opinion, I do not believe that he speaks on behalf of "most people." I had a 6.6 liter Trans Am when I was a teenager and got the horsepower bug out of my system then. For my daily driving needs today, the stock DeLorean engine has more than enough power. I am much more concerned about fuel economy and reliability. If you want exotic appearance with that kind of horsepower you might be better off getting a Lotus Esprit. They are notoriously unreliable and ridiculously expensive to repair, but they have a lot more power for only slightly more money than a DeLorean. - Mike Substelny
