Wayne, I think your statement below is unfair to John DeLorean. To associate the words "greed" and "deceit" to John is to completely ignore the fact that he has been acquitted of all charges stemming from the collapse of the DeLorean Motor Company, including fraud, embezzlement, racketeering, and conspiring to buy and distribute cocaine. I wonder if you have read his autobiography, which is his answer to all the viscous and unfounded rumours that are often associated with him? Also, have you read "On a clear day you can see GM"? This excellent book shows JZD's motivation for leaving GM and setting up his new car company. You will find that his motivation was not driven by greed or love of money, but a dream of an ethical car company that would give the consumer better value for money with more commitment to quality, reliability, and a lifetime of rust free motoring. The upcoming movie "Room 501" deals with the events leading up to JZD's arrest in the Los Angeles airport Hilton by the FBI, how he was set-up from the very start, and how it ruined his public image permanently - proof of this is your last post. I hope when the movie is released, we will hear less comments like "Is he still in jail?" and more comments like "John is a great engineer - look at what he has achieved in his lifetime!"
