Alot of people have been posting that a possible way the remove their Cats, and not have the state find out is to wait untill there cars are old enough to become exempt from emissions testing. You may want to check you local regulations about this, because there are certain requirements that you must also meet. In Nevada for example, your car must be 25 years old, and cannot be driven over 1,200 miles a year. In order to prove this, you must bring in a signed affadavit from a Certifed Auto Appriaser that is approved by the state showing your current miliage. From what the DMV has told me, alot of other states are now adpoting this new rule as well. Also, don't hollow out the Catlytic Converter by busting the "honey comb" out. The pipe will then end up being wider, and will then contract again. The end result to this will be even more back pressure than before on your engine. Plus most smog check stations will check for you Cat with a mirror on the end of a stick, so you cannot install a straight "cheater pipe." Just wait a free flow Cat to come out. Like most everything else, sooner or later, it'll happen! -Robert
