Derrick, Keep in mind that the memory circuits in the radio are constantly draining voltage from the battery. The only way to prevent the battery from draining is by either starting the engine once a week and allow the car to idle for 10 minutes, attach a trickle charge type charger to the battery, or completely disconnect the battery when not in use.
