The DML has just proved how useful and powerful it is and a lesson to us all. I was just about to buy vin 3003 but james epsey sent me infomation on the car from a previous owner. Needless to say i have pulled out from the deal. I have attached what james sent to me as an idea. So when you buy a car run it past DML and see what come up Thanks all for the comments and a big thanks to Mr Epsey Chris >I basically gave that car to a friend of mine when I left the U.S. >He spent thousands of dollars tying to get it running again and >never could. Finally someone saw it in his front yard and offered >him $3,000 for it and he took it. He had spent more trying to get >it running correct. It was not running when I gave it to him. I had >someone replace the clutch and it never ran again. The reason >that the frame has been repainted was that it had many cracks >in it. Someone must have tried to fix it. I used to drive it through >the Pearblossum hiway which is a back road from Los Angles >to Las Vegas. I bottem out many times while in excess of 100 mph. >I must only assume that is where the cracks came from. I was >clocked by the police once at 120+. Very luckily for me the officer >was about to get off work and did not want to stay overtime filling >out all the paperwork required when you book someone at 100+. >He wrote me for 95. > >The motor is not origanal. I had twin turbos put on it and they >blew the motor up. I picked up the motor that was in it from >another person, at the time the motor only had 600 miles on it. >That might or might not explain the air filter question. ----- Original Message ----- From: DMC Joe <dmcjoe@xxxx> To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2000 2:27 AM Subject: [DML] Re: Epoxy > Many dealers undercoated DeLoreans as part as their pre- delivery > preparations that would explain the black chassis color. > > We have no information on the other markings you mentioned. > > DMC Joe / De Lorean Services / <dmcjoe@xxxx> > Web Site: <http://www.deloreanservices.com> > ----- Original Message ----- > From: chris <chris@xxxx> > To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2000 1:00 AM > Subject: [DML] Epoxy > > > > I am currently buying a DeLorean Vin 3003.
