Michael #2904 >> Michael, I had exactly same thing happen. Your torsion bar has fractured, so there is no lift (other than the strut) for the door. Only solution is to replace to torsion bar. I did mine myself, with one helper, following instructions I found in an old issue of Delorean World Mag. There may be instructions in the DML archives. One thing I did that was not mentioned in the info, was to shield the back window with 1/8 in. tempered Masonite to prevent breakage. Good luck! Burke
