Hi, Since my father happens to own a shotblasting-company I can tell you from experience that most light-allywheels do NOT look nice when just shotblasted and clearcoated: most of the times the material is so soft that the inpacts from the shotblasting stay very visible. Some thing thats much nicer because its less agressive (less pressure and a finer material) is like shotblasting, only with little glass "pearls". I don't know the correct translation, but that is what it basically is. This is very good on alloy and Stainless Steel so I would recommend doing this instead of the shotblasting. Clearcoating would still be neccesary even if it was only for the shine and ease of cleaning it gives: dirt sticks better on a non-coated rough surface... Please note that we have no experience on DeLorean-wheels so the precise effect on that particular alloy is hard to predict. Hope to have been of some help, JAN van de Wouw Think Different...
