This is a warning! Before refueling my DeLorean the other day, I noticed that the trunk didn't open like it usually does. I shut the trunk and tried to re-open it and...NOTHING! The problem: my release cable had broken! Lucky for me, it broke off at the handle and I was able to get the trunk open with little effort. A quick run to the bike shop to purchase a cable and all was well once again. I'm sure many of us (especially me!) have seen this problem on the DML over the years and have disregarded it, or passed it off with "I should get around to doing that sometime." You may want to consider checking this line soon...I guarantee that it's easier to check it (and replace it if necessary) NOW rather than when it's too late! And if you don't want to take the thing apart, heed the advice of another DML'er and install a concealed backup wire. Happy motoring, Travis
