I've pointed this out before, but your problem probably is caused by insufficient "ground": a "D" has no ground through the chassis, so all currents run through the wiring. Your problem seems to be that the higher Amperage cannot get through the original wiring, so it "sneaks" around using the bulbs in the inboards and the dashboard as a sort of extra grounding wire... I'm not sure, but I would expect that running some extra thick ground-wires from all headlights would probably solve your problem. Hope this helps, JAN Think Different...
