Chip, >From your description you have had a catastrophic brake system failure; this is extremely unusual. Here is what you need to do: Do not drive the car; next access the brake reservoir which is located under the carpet in the front luggage compartment on the drivers side floor. After lifting the rubber access cover unscrew the orange cap. You don't have to remove the cap, just pull it up enough to see if there is any fluid in the receiver. If it is empty you have had a brake system hydraulic failure. BTW; if indeed the system is empty of brake fluid your dash mounted "red" BRAKE warning lamp should be lit continuously. We have found many cars with this plug detached, if that was the case your warning light would remain off. In any case locate a reputable brake service facility, and have your car transported there for the proper service. If the service personal need any assistance they are free to call me at 770 631-4800 9 AM-6PM Mon.-Fri. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chip Shirek <cshirek@xxxx> To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, December 10, 1999 9:01 AM Subject: [DML] Re: AHHHH NO BRAKES!!! > alrighty now ive got a big problem.
