Wait a minute Stain....come on now.....! I don't understand all this talk about fake vin numbers? You can't be serious about "real Vin numbers". Please explain to all of us why you feel the need to suggest that ANY of our Vin numbers are "NOT REAL". Look!.. as a practical matter apart from transposition in transcription all Vin numbers taken from an actual owned DMC-12 is "REAL" on it's face. Un less you have some specific reason to suspect that there are counterfeit Plates circulating today or for that matter at any time in the past I think it is irresponsible to suggest that such counterfeits even exist. Don't take this wrong! no insult is intended here, but how do we know that any reply we might get from you is correct in the first place, one way or the other? You know of course there are several very well documented VIN list available that any one can use to look up their own Vin number. I have used with great success the DML list to cross check my limited edition Vin numbers and so far not a single Vin number given me has been incorrect. I believe that the issue of counterfeit Vin numbers is important enough that it be pursued hear on the list. Please let us all know more details about your reasons to suspect that there is a problem with counterfeit Vin numbers.
