I am really mad here. I just read an article in
Automobile magazine. The author mentioned the DeLorean on page 44 of January's
issue. The author, David E. Davis Jr., referred to the DeLorean as "a discarded
Giugiaro prototype---skinned in stainless steel, powered by a Renault V-6---that
sounded and behaved exactly like a late-model Chevrolet Corvair. Obsolete before
they ever turned a wheel, the cars were junk, the organization was a joke,
and somebody got away with most of the British government's investment." Hesaid
some other insulting things about JZD himself as well.
The article is about a new car company being
started by Jose Ignacio Lopez de Arriotua---infamous purchasing czar at GM.He's
talking about former attempts which were flops. He also talks about Tucker and
Kaiser in a negative light as well.
I think this author has a lot of nerve to say
things like this. He obviosly has never driven or for that matter, probably
never even seen a DeLorean himself. I assume he hasn't read Stainless Steel
Illusion either. Something needs to be done about this.
You can visit AUTOMOBILEMAG.COM if you want to send
a complaint to the magazine.
