There is a lot of information on this in the back issues. Most of the DeLorean vendors sell springs to lower the car. I have a set from DMC Houston, and I am happy with them.. The DMC Houston set is a 4 spring set, PJ Grady also sells some springs, but I think they are only for the front. (Call him and check). The old method to lower the car was to "cut and swap", where you would cut the rear springs, and put them in the front. Move the front springs to the back. When I purchased my car, the previous owner had done this.. The car looked great, but the back was never stiff enough for my liking, the front was a bit too stiff!! (Makes sense the springs were swapped and the weight requirements were different!). If you want some cut springs I can sell you mine :) Matthew Lach wrote: > > hi > > A few years back, I heard a rumor that JZD had to change the shocks ofh > the US version of the D, to conform to fender requirements. > > Is it legal to change back to the original, stiffer, config? > > Would this have enough positive effects on handling to warrant the work? > > Are there any nasty side effects I should know about, before attempting > it? >
