I have recently fitted a battery cut off switch to " DUSTY" but some of you chaps might not like the idea of it as it involves cutting a 1/2" hole in the plastic battery cover, and a smaller hole in the covering carpet! I obtained a "HELLER" boat type heavy duty switch with removable red plastic key, fastened one battery terminal straight on to it, made up a short length of starter cable, to bridge between battery and the other side of the switch. Than mounted the switch with one wood screw, in the top right hand corner of the battery compartment, with the key hole facing forward. Put some paint on the end of the switch, and carefully located the plastic cover, this shows where to cut the hole, when the cover is replaced, the black body of the switch is flush with the plastic cover. A small slit in the carpet, in goes the key and "hey presto", a battery isolating/ anti-theft device you can use, by just reaching behind the seat( drivers in my case). Why this type of fitting? well the others mounted on the battery are so difficult to get at, they seldom get used. I use this one every time.
