Dan........... Yeah, I know several people that got a normal "DeLorean" policy thourgh State Farm. It must go by local offices because those folks are in here in southern IL near St. Louis with me. It can be regional because all the offices here report to the Bloomington, IL location. When I first went to insure it they said the DeLorean was on the "Do NOT Insure" list (along w/ Bricklin, Detomaso, and a few other cars I was looking for at that time). I then talked to someone who was on the Classic Car policy and called SF back. I had to coax them into letting me put the DMC on it. I suppose they knew that if they didn't I was going to take the 6 other cars over to a new company so I wouldn't have to pay a second set of premiums. In the mean time I've talked to a few more D. owners that are on the Classic Car policy and DON'T have a mileage limits. Looks like I just got the wrong office to insure my DMC. Glad to hear you found the right on though! :)) --Jonathan #000697 ---------------------------- I don't know about that, I have state farm and I had no problems insuring my D as a regular car with full coverage. An my rates are pretty reasonable too. ---Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: Jonathan Heslop gatewayaa-@xxxx To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, November 23, 1999 4:30 PM Subject: [DML] Re: bad news.... > I'm an 18 year old male and got insurance for my DeLorean--eventually. > First of all, I'm NOT listed as the primary driver of it.
