Fil, You probably have already performed the test and don't realize it. Did the driver's door droop last year in cold weather? If not, then it is time to replace your struts. They are a little pricey - about 65.00 each, and tightening the torsion bar will improve things for a while, but unless you have a KNOWLEDGEABLE person do the adjustment, you risk doing major damage to your D.
