I am
still trying to gather additional information about what had occurred.
I did see the car today (from a distance as I was not allowed to get any
closer) and I can understand why what happed, did due to the extreme damage
to the car. I am going to try to get some pictures that I can post as
I remember several people wondering about crash worthiness of these
cars. However, it is important to note that the DeLorean and the
minivan were heading toward eachother at least at 50 miles an hour - this
would mean that the impact speed would have been at least 100 mph. It
also seemed that the minivan went over the top of the DeLorean (my personal
guess) as the roof seemed to be caved in. I was only able to see the
car from the front and except for one door poking up in the air, it was
unrecognizable to me.
Just a little nitpick ;) If two vehicles are
going 50mph and hit head on, it's 50mph of force for either vehicle.
IE, it's the same as either vehicle individually hitting a brick wall at
50mph. Ask any physics professor
:/
