I've researched the commercial a little bit, but not fully. I called KNBC-TV in Los Angeles asking them about their archives for both the "Live the Dream" commercial, and the episode of "Donahue" with JZD as the guest. The man on the phone (program director I think) said that after a period of time (specified by the producers of the show/advertisement) all tapes are destroyed. For copies you have to contact the producers. I don't have any books with me right now, but the name of the Ad Company is listed in either "De Lorean", or "Hard Driving". In "Stainless Steel Illusion", it mentions that JZD, C.R. "Dick" Brown, and Muar Dubin keept clashing on which ad(s) to run, so many ad campaigns were cancelled. Because of this it is very possible that many more newspaper/magazine/T.V. ads were created that we don't know about. There is of course a chance that the master tapes and templets still exist somewhere, but I doubt it. -Robert
