I'll second this. All of the additives that are supposed to make a car last longer, or the oil more slippery are snake oil. There are some additives that will keep an engine that is on it's last legs on the road a bit longer. These are OK in the sense that they do what they advertise, but DON'T use them in an engine that is in good condition. Just changing the oil and the filter regularly will do your engine the most good.
