Lambda is the brand name for Bosch emissions control equipment. The Lambda
warning lamp warns a driver that the 02 sensor has reached the end of its
useful life. The Lambda counter is connected to the speedometer / odometer
drive and turns on the warning lamp at a predetermined mileage reading.
