This may not be always the case, but when I first got my car going on three
years ago I immediately noticed a couple plugs and matching jacks in the engine
compartmen that obviously would fit together but were mounted in such a waythat
they would not connect. I asked a person who had bought a new DeLorean and
had been involved with them heavily all that time about it. He said
basically that John DeLorean was no dummy and did not want to reinvent the
wheel....they found that a Jaguar wiring harness came closest to fitting the D
so used it and just did not connect various plugs and jacks where not
needed. In other words if everything works don't try to fix
it! Whether that is true or not I don't really know, but my car has run
find with some dangling plugs for a long time.
