I had a front shock come lose at the top last year, thetop
washer had split and I lost the bushing. I had replaced the shocks a
couple of years before that.
If the shock is in good condition, get a new set of
bushings and nuts and refasten it. I found some spare parts at a local
tire/shock store that would fit until I was able to get the correct parts from a
DeLorean Parts house. I have had no problems since.

Subject: [DML] Broken front
shock...
I heard a noisey "clunking" coming from the
front of my D when I hit big bumps. Well, it seems that the shock decidedthat
it didn't want to be attatched to the top part of the suspension anymore,
where it's supposed to be. I noiced that the other side had some sort of
bushing with a curved washer holding it in place. My question is, how bigof a
problem do I have here? Is that washer thing attatched to the suspension?Or
is it just held in place by the shock? Do I need to replace my shock, or can I
just replace the curved washer and a new rubber bushing? How bad actuallyis
this? Help please?
