I have a question, I keep hearing it argued back and forth but I'd rather hear it from somone who knows... > I didn't bring any of my DeLorean books today. For your information, > young lady, this is a *British* car show!" > > - Mike Substelny The car was designed by an American, (then re-designed by an Italian). It was prototyped in the US, the main offices were in the US. the pres was/is American born and resided durring the time of the car. It was built in Ireland, then re-built at the "Quality Centers" in the US to fix a multitude of errors. (some cars receiving over 100 hours in re-work.) And it was built to be sold in the American market above all others. Let's look at this in another way, would you consider a Honda, Mazda, or Subaru to be American cars? All three have plants in the US to build their cars for domestic sale. In the grand picture, the car was built in the 80's before the "content" rules took effect. So is the car American, or is it Irish/British? And once the statment is made, will everyone agree? I've always considered the car a US car and not a Brit car. -=mike=- refurbing 702 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address to moderator@xxxx
