Hello, Well you should also consider insurance. A 16 year old male will easly run $2300-$2500 year for liability only insurance. I recently bought a 97' jeep to use a my primary mode of transportation until i buy a jeep when i'm out of college. I love the DeLorean alot, but for a young person like you and me a DeLorean is a car for when were more settled. All owners i see right now are much older, have good jobs, great people etc. Bottom line is if something goes wrong you have no way to get instant cash, or will have to wait for a special part to come in. For now buy something newer and will last you until a D is a more probable option. Although I'd never want to have any family member die to get a car either. Go buy a nice stealth, or eclipse if you want the high insurance too ;). Or like me have a plate made up "My Other Car's a DMC". My great-great aunt has been somewhat of a "penny-pincher" for a LONG time. She's got a lot of money, but won't spend it. And when she passes-on, the money will be inherited by other family members. She said that I'm supposed to inherit $12,000. Now, that's pretty much a DeLorean. (Of course, I might save up for a while and put more towards it; following the rule "You get what you pay for") > One of the main problems is my dad. I wouldn't exactly call him a DeLorean enthusiast. I've pumped so much information and "success" stories about Ds into him, I've run out of them! Any time I bring up the subject, he seems to drop it with a joke on the D. For example, he said the $12k wouldn't cover the repairs for one. And when I said I wanted a custom licence-plate for it (Like "NO TIME", "DMC-12", or "AT88MPH"), he suggested "JUNKER" > > Any further advice for a problem like this? > > Wes > VIN# NOT YET > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > FreeShop is the #1 place for free and trial offers and great deals! > Try something new and find out how you could win two round-trip tickets > anywhere in the U.S.! http://clickhere.egroups.com/click/368 > > eGroups.com home: http://www.egroups.com/group/dmcnews > http://www.egroups.com - Simplifying group communications > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Part 1.2 Type: application/ms-tnef > Encoding: base64 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: http://www.egroups.com/group/dmcnews http://www.egroups.com - Simplifying group communications
