When mine had a crack in the pick-up line the car would lurch and stall while accelerating forward (beyond a snails pace) or stopping in reverse. Accelerating in reverse or stopping in forward would work just fine. As with yours, it would immediately start and idle just fine. I would start by examining the fuel pick-up line. Check to see if there are any cracks in the line. Possibly the line has gone soft and collapsed upon itself but I wouldn't think this problem would have your type of symptoms. Good luck. - Kevin Wolter #6810 -----Original Message----- From: Bobby D. It seems to happen when I turn corners or come to a stop. It will start right up and take off but I have no confidence that it will keep going. It will also die and restart itself if I am driving down the street. Is this the famous fuel pump failure?
