Greetings everyone, I've been a lurker on the list for around 2 years now, watching and learning. I am finally ready, though, to break my silence and buy a D. Anyway, I'm currently looking into a car in Las Vegas. Whatever car I get, I will be driving it frequently. It will be a daily driver, in fact. The D I'm looking at has 62k miles (verified to be actual miles). Disregarding the plethora of other questions regarding the car's condition, etc. which need to be asked, my question to all of you is this: Is it wise to buy a car with 62,000 miles on it? What kind of mileage do you guys have on your cars? I've read of a couple of list members with 200,000+ mile cars, but I'd like to know what the average DeLorean owner has on his car and the extent of the car's reliability beyond the big 100k. Also, does anyone live in Las Vegas that would be willing to be my eyes and examine the car? (I know it's a lot to ask) Or, does anyone know of a shop in Vegas that has experience working on the D that I could have the car inspected at? I'd like to thank everyone in advance for their help, regarding both this matter and any future questions I may have. After witnessing the support this group provides each other over the last two years, I know for a fact that you are all awesome and I look forward to joining the group as an owner. I'm not sure what kind of worth this thread would provide to the group as a whole, so feel free to email me privately.
