I had quite the same problem. My gearstick was broken at the pin. The problem is that there is not enough material around the pinhole. After years (14 in my case) of pulling the gearstick the materiel lenghten itself and in the worst (my) case it is broken. In this oval hole no pin can be fixed. Somebody remanufactured me a new stick in a higher steel quality I drill the right hole and bend it in the right possition. It works perfect until today.
