Cole, I know you are going to get a lot of replies about this problem but I just wanted to tell you that I had the same exact problem and it turned out to be the Crossgate cable that controls the left and right movement of the shifter. The shifter is spring loaded to go into the 3rd and 4th gears so the crossgate cable is either broken completely in half like mine was or somehow got out of adjustment. If you need a new on the Part number is 101363, it cost me about $100 from PJ Grady. And it is reference Number 34 in Parts manual...4.2.0 Manual Transmission. I would love to hear if this was your problem...keep us posted.
