Congratulations on surviving the car show. I always enjoy participating. Some people do have a lot of nerve and think that they are in a car dealer show room. When I display my car, I prop the engine cover open and leave the doors open. Of course, I remove anything from the car that sticky fingers might brush against. I just remove the temptation. It is only natural for people to touch the body, they do not believe that it is metal. I like it when it is really bright and hot out, people leave with burned fingers. I bring an umbrella and chairs and just talk with the people that come by. Perhaps next time, you will have other DeLoreans to compete against, I think it is more fun with other D's there. Which division I don't know unless it was anything that wasn't a Camaro or Mustang. I was up against a Pantera though. It was a lot of fun and I was the only DeLorean there. Yes, everyone ignored the DO NOT TOUCH signs and one guy had the nerve to open up my engine compartment on his own. An ex D owner he claimed. Today I was nice, but next time...! The car had steady admirers all day and I arrived home with a hundred fingerprints and a nice sunburn. The joys of ownership!
