The car was FAST, and handled well, but the brakes were pretty bad. Whoever built it had used drum brakes on all wheels, and on top of that I they needed some work. It had a very kit car feel to it. Since this is the only one I've seen close up, I don't know how much of that was due to design and how much to the workmanship of the builder. The seats and armrests are basically cushions resting on the floor. There was a separate switch for raising and lowering the headlights, and they moved rather slow. The outside door handles are just recesses into the fiberglass, with little metal pushbuttons to open the doors. The DeLorean is more finished, comfortable, has better visibility (especially out the back), and of course has the stainless steel body. The Cimbria has more wow factor in its performance (though I don t know about the VW powered ones). Basically, I think the DeLorean is more nice car, and the Cimbria is more toy. - J ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroup home: http://www.eGroups.com/group/dmcnews http://www.eGroups.com - Simplifying group communications
