TO:DMCNEWS@xxxxxxxxxxx My "D" had been sitting for 10 years in a barn in West Tennessee. I happen to run across the list in December of last year. At first I sat back and read each posting learning more everyday. I finally posted a few questions and the response was great. I found there were two fellow owners here in Nashville. One was willing to let me use his trailor at no cost before I had even met him. After learning who worked on the cars I planned a trip to DMCJOE in Atlanta.I borrowed the trailor and went to pickup this car that had not moved in over 10 years. After putting some new shoes on the car I pulled it out of barn, and to my surprise it didn't look half bad. I took the car to Atlanta and dropped it off. Keep in mind the car had gas in the tank and the driver's side window was down when it was parked for the last time, so I had to replace some of the interior and most of the fuel system. Well one month and a little over $9,000 later the car was ready. My dad and I went last weekend picked it u p and drove it home. I had forgotten how cool these cars look on the road. We got stuck in a traffic jam for two hours and the "D" did just fine! Anyway I just wanted to thank everyone-James for the list, Bruce for the trailor,Travis & Ken for the info.,DMCJOE for the work, and Houston & Rob for the parts. In my opinion, I think this is what this list is all about.
