A while ago I posted my problems about a fuel problem and poor acceleration. This is to thank those who offered support and inform all of the resolution. The fuel problem came from a malfunctioning warm-up regulator, something I have never seen anyone write about. For some reason, someone previously had the wires backwards and burned the unit up. This reduced fuel pressure and although the car would run at times, it was not consistant. After obtaining a rebuilt one it runs perfectly. The limited acceleration came from a bent accelerator shaft(?). Apparently when the cable was cold, strong foot pressure bent this. A simple bending it up for more pedal solved it. I recommend anyone having fuel problems take it to a Volvo dealer or a shop that works on Volvos and have it pressure tested. It took a few minutes to diagnose and one week to get the part. They know these motors well. If you have need of a small shop in Western Pa., let me know.
