Dave - You're on the right track ... you just have to jack up the motor some MORE. The bolts on the ends are the worst. Have a little faith and patience. A good set of short wobble sockets doesn't hurt either. Just be careful to avoid crushing anything as you jack the motor up, such as the slave cylinder pipe.
