There seems to be a huge inconsistency in moderation. 
While it is expected that each moderator may judge
something different than another, it is more
disturbing that a single given moderator seems to make
decisions on messages based on the SENDER.

I can think of a number of examples where I was
"called names" with no facts or even opinions to
support the argument... and yet not given the
opportunity to respond publicly while refraining from
calling my attacker "names".

The double standard is my biggest complaint.  The
power of the moderators steer the discussion can have
a huge impact on the reputation of specific members of
the community.  It is a power that I feel is sometimes
abused.

If there was consistency in moderation, no matter who
posts the message, this would be less of a problem.
